 | | The CLK Coupé provides support in critical situations. Its active safety systems include the Electronic Stability Program (ESP®), the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and Brake Assist (BAS). Together they can help you to keep the vehicle under control.
If your car is in danger of skidding, ESP® selectively brakes individual wheels and adjusts the engine output if required. ABS ensures that the vehicle remains steerable during emergency braking. BAS recognises emergency braking by the speed with which you press the brake pedal and instantly builds up the maximum braking force, bringing the car to a standstill faster. |
